About Secretsun Heating & Air and How It Works
Who We Are
Secretsun Heating & Air is a referral service for homeowners. We connect people who have a heating or cooling problem with independent HVAC providers in the Hammond area. That is the whole job. We are a bridge, not a repair shop.
Why This Site Exists
Heating and cooling tend to quit at a bad moment. The AC dies in a humid heat wave. The furnace goes quiet during a hard frost. People then scramble through search results, unsure who to trust or what to check first.
This site gives you two things. First, plain steps for what is safe to try yourself. Second, a path to a local provider when it is time to stop. Check, then stop.
How Providers Are Matched
You send a request or make a call. We look at the type of problem, your town, and which providers in the network serve that spot. Then we pass your details to a provider who may be a fit.
Availability varies. Some providers can respond quickly, and others book out. Request a callback to check provider availability for your address.
What We Expect From Providers
Providers in the network are independent businesses. We ask them to be clear about what they find, to explain the options, and to put the price on paper before work starts. You should be able to ask questions and get straight answers.
We also encourage providers to carry the licenses and insurance their area requires. You should still ask to see them. Never skip that step.
What We Do Not Do
This part matters, so here it is plainly.
- We do not repair, install, or replace anything.
- We do not set prices or write quotes.
- We do not promise a response time.
- We do not decide what your insurance covers.
Some policies may cover sudden damage, so check your own policy. Providers can often help document damage for a claim.
How We Are Paid
Providers in the network may pay Secretsun Heating & Air for referred requests. Your payment for the work goes to the provider, and the quote is theirs to set. That is why a written quote matters. Compare it, ask what is included, and take your time.
Watch the Clock
Timing changes the outcome. A weak AC on day one may be a dirty filter. By day three it may be a frozen coil and a water stain on the ceiling. A furnace that short-cycles tonight can fail outright on the coldest morning. Acting early often keeps a small repair small.
