How Our Network Works
Who You Talk To
You talk to an independent HVAC provider. Not a call center script and not a salesperson for Secretsun Heating & Air. Each provider in the network runs its own business, sets its own schedule, and does its own work.
Secretsun Heating & Air makes the introduction. After that, the conversation is between you and the provider.
What Happens on the Call
Expect a few simple questions. The provider wants to understand the problem so the right person shows up with the right parts.
- What is the system doing, or not doing?
- How old is the unit, if you know?
- Is it AC, a furnace, or both?
- What did you already check?
Have the make and model ready if you can read it off the unit. Take a photo of the label before you call. It saves time.
What to Ask a Provider
A short list goes a long way. Write these down and keep them near the phone.
- Are you licensed and insured for this work in my area?
- Will you give me a written quote before starting?
- What does the quote include, and what could change it?
- Is there a fee just to diagnose the problem?
- How soon can someone come out?
- Is the repair warrantied, and for how long?
Costs vary by job. In the U.S., many AC repairs fall in the low hundreds to a couple thousand dollars, and a full system replacement often runs several thousand and up. Your home and equipment decide where you land. Quote in writing, always.
You Are in Control
You can say no. You can get a second opinion. You can ask the provider to explain a repair in plain words. A good provider will not rush you.
If something feels off, such as pressure to sign on the spot or a price that will not go on paper, step back. Another provider in the network may be a better fit.
Watch the Clock
Small problems grow with time. A warm vent today can turn into a locked-up compressor in a few days. Waiting on a furnace in deep frost can put pipes at risk. If you smell gas, leave the home and contact your gas utility or emergency services first.
